How these calculators work
How stock ROI calculators work
Individual stocks move with earnings, sector trends, and macro cycles. This hub groups free, browser-based ROI calculators for U.S. and international equities so you can test a hypothetical buy and sell using historical daily closing prices—without creating an account or connecting a brokerage.
Each ticker page is its own tool: pick dates, enter an amount, fetch closes (or type custom prices), and see simulated value, profit or loss, ROI percentage, and charts. Where available, rows also link to compare, performance, invest amount, DCA, and forecast views for the same asset.
What makes stock backtests different from ETFs or crypto
Stock calculators use company-level price history. That matters when you care about single-name risk, dividends (not modeled here), or event-driven gaps around earnings. ETFs smooth many names into one fund; crypto trades 24/7 with different volatility. Use this hub when the question is “How would this ticker have performed between two calendar dates?” rather than a blended basket.
Data and limitations
Prices are end-of-day closes, refreshed on a daily schedule—not live quotes. Results are educational simulations: they exclude fees, taxes, slippage, and corporate actions unless noted on the tool. Past performance does not predict future returns. Read our disclaimer and about pages for methodology and company information.
Popular starting points
Mega-cap technology names, dividend payers, and sector leaders are common entry points. Use the Popular filter or search by symbol (press / to focus search). For a manual entry workflow, open the manual ROI calculator.
